The annual winter team roping in the Clay Logan Open took place over the weekend at the 377 Arena in Stephenville, TX.
The average winners in the open team roping on Sunday split $45,000, with $25,000 in added money and a 85% payback in the roping. More added money as well in the numbered ropings on Friday and Saturday.
The open roping itself was the main event, headlining the schedule on Sunday afternoon. That closed out three days of team roping that began on Friday morning . That numbered ropings had an 80% payback, as did all ropings aside from 85% in the open.
Friday’s pot had a total of $12,500 in added money over several ropings. Saturday had $20,000 total in added money over three ropings, plus a Polaris Ranger to the average champs of the #11.5 roping.
Sunday had a pro-am roping, followed by a calcutta for the open, the open roping itself, and a few more jackpots afterwards.
The next Clay Logan Open is set for October 1-5, 2025.
