Who qualified from Bracket 4 at Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo?

Get out the broom because several contestants swept their bracket. Team ropers tied an arena record, and a barrel racer got dang close to another arena record in Bracket 4 at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.

Bracket 4 wrapped up on Friday with a matinee performance in Dickies Arena, and more contestants advanced in the pro rodeo tournament.

Emily Beisel swept her bracket in barrel racing, with two blisteringly fast runs. Beisel and her mare, Liza, stopped the clock at 16.11 seconds in the first round. That was close to an arena record. Beisel went on to win the second round as well with a 16.26-second run.

Ropers in the timed events also swept their brackets. Dustin Egusquiza and Levi Lord with a 3.6-second run in Round 1 to tie the arena record for FWSSR. They also won first place in Round 2 with a 4-flat.

Tie-down roper Haven Meged also won both rounds of his bracket with two smooth runs. Meged outright won Round 1, and Meged split first place in Round 2 along with Chet Weitz. Fittingly, both by chance wore matching red shirts.

Jayco Roper is advancing in bareback riding as the high money winner of his bracket. Roper rode Championship Pro Rodeo’s The Crow for 90.5 points in Round 1. Roper then split second place in Round 2.

Q Taylor showed out in saddle bronc riding, winning first place in Round 1 and second place in Round 2.
