Bracket 3 of the PRCA rodeo in Fort Worth wrapped up Wednesday night, as more contestants advanced in the pro rodeo tournament in Dickies Arena.

Some contestants, like Carlee Otero, dominated in Bracket 3, earning themselves a berth into the semifinals.

Saddle bronc rider Brody Cress swept his bracket with two very high scores. Cress won Round 1 with a 90.5-point ride on Dakota Rodeo’s Smarty Pants. Cress came back the next go-round to partner with United Pro Rodeo’s Awesome Sauce for 89.5, winning Round 2 as well.

Carlee Otero dominated in barrel racing, winning both rounds and clinching a spot in the semifinals. Despite being last out and bottom of the ground, Otero and her horse still stopped the clock with the fastest run of the rodeo.

Otero turned in a 16.35-second run in Round 1, and she and her horse stopped the clock at a blistering 16.19 seconds in Round 2. That was the fastest time at FWSSR so far this year in barrel racing, and the time was very close to an arena record.

Carlee’s husband, Michael Otero, also did well. Both now advance to the semifinals. Michael is advancing as the high money tie-down roper in Bracket 3. Otero placed second in Round 2, and then he split first place in Round 2.

TiAda Gray and Jackie Crawford placed high in both rounds of breakaway roping, earning each roper enough in earnings to qualify for the semifinals. Gary placed second in Round 2, while Crawford placed third. Gray won Round 2, with Crawford in second place.
