— THURSDAY ROUNDUP —

Bracket 4 starts tonight at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo with a new set of contestants. The rodeo starts at 7:30pm local time (8:30 pm ET) with a classic grand entry.

Jeter Lawrence

Bull rider Jeter Lawrence suffered terrible injuries at the Oklahoma City ProRodeo at the Jim Norick Arena in OKC. ProRodeo.com has an update on Lawrence’s condition.

Lawrence reportedly “sustained significant head trauma resulting in a minor brain bleed and a fractured forehead.” The 19-year-old remains hospitalized in Oklahoma City, but the article notes that Lawrence is showing signs of recovery.

Jeter’s father, Kenny Lawrence, is quoted in the article as saying Jeter was responsive at the scene, but Jeter began having seizures after arriving at a local hospital. Because of that, Jeter was placed on a ventilator, which was removed earlier this week. The hope is to move Jeter out of ICU and into the recovery process.

To support Jeter and his family through the recovery process, a GoFundMe is set up for donations.

The Cowboy Channel on their website is also reporting that Thor Hoefer is hosting an auction for grade one embryo. The article notes, “The dam has two sons that have bucked at the PBR Finals and she is a full sister to a five-time PBR bull, Who’s Back.”

The auction hosted by Thor Hefner starts tonight at 8pm ET on his Facebook page. Other auctions are being set up for straws donated by Gene Owen and others.
