PBR and National Western extend partnership

Professional Bull Riders and the National Western Stock Show yesterday announced an agreement to extend their partnership for five more years.

After debuting at the National Western in 1998, PBR ran events for many years in Denver in association with the Stock Show. Most recently, PBR ran bull riding events over three nights as part of their Velocity Tour.

The three-day bull riding event held at the Denver Coliseum is the largest and most successful regular season stop on the Velocity Tour, according to a press release from PBR.

“PBR is thrilled to extend our partnership with The National Western Stock Show, a truly iconic Western sports tradition that is home to the largest and most successful Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour regular season event each year,” said PBR Commissioner and CEO Sean Gleason. “We are honored to help anchor a destination event that entertains hundreds of thousands of people each year while making a significant impact in the community.”

The PBR event at the National Western this year took place during the first week of stock show events, alongside a Mexican rodeo exhibition and a special “Colorado vs. The World” event that same week.

“The PBR has been a part of the National Western Stock Show for decades and today, we continue our relationship until at least 2029,” said the President and CEO of the National Western Stock Show, Paul Andrews. “Our fans demand the best, and the PBR provides the best in bull riding across the world. We are thrilled to continue our partnership”.
